Local Refillery is a new planet-friendly grocer located in downtown Courtenay that offers a convenient plastic-free, zero-waste ‘weigh and pay’ shopping experience - allowing you to stock and re-stock guilt-free. Owner Ginette Matthews reached out to me for this start-up endeavour after learning about my background in sustainability and design practices. Together we created a brand that is meaningful, deliberate and will pave the way for future sustainable brands. My goal with the design was to keep it minimal (no surprise there!) and let the brand ethos do the work without adding chaos, distraction, or fluff to the design. It’s clean, concise, and intentional - just as it should be, and leaves room for expansion and national growth.

Laura has been fantastic to work with! From the first time we connected, she was able to put into words and visuals what I was trying to say about my company. Her brand design is true perfection. What she has created is really the foundation of our business.

Being able to communicate clearly to our customers who we are and what we can provide in one visual is a masterclass in design. Laura always sticks to her quotes and timelines which is just one aspect of her professionalism. As you can tell I highly recommend working with Caribou Creative. She truly set the stage for my company's success.
